I thought I had better get all that in!!!! :) It has been soooooo long since I last blogged.

I will try to keep upto date. (promise)

Here is a card I made today using my monthly stamp from Visible Image . This is a family run company who have been on Create & Craft they make wonderful stamps :) and such nice people .

I have used some of the New Stampin Up Springtime Vintage Designer paper From the Mini page 17. The card colours are crumb cake (kraft paper that everyone is going mad for) , Rose red and very vanilla, ink Rose red all from Stampin up.

An Easel card

This is a card that I have made for a friends nephew , who is 2. The name letters and number are made using extra large alphabet rubber stamps from Dimensions Fourth and their large alphabet is used for the birthday. All letters are either from material or are embossed using embossing folders . This is to give an extra feel to the card, Freddie loves Winnie the Pooh so I used a Jolee set. The papers are downloaded from the Nitwits playground set and I borrowed the rubber stamps from a friend for the stamps inside the card coloured with pro markers

Decided i needed some of my own art work on the walls , so after making a card very similar I decided to make a canvas. I used terracota paint distressed inks , Tim Holtz bird cage die which is embossed and inked. All in all I am pleased with the outcome. Well they were in the sale :) , I just love crocs live in them all year round at home. I even wear my Mary Janes for work I love comfy shoes and theses stay on my feet all day. I did have a sea blue pair but my youngest stole them for summer, I am sure when his feet grow they will be back in my collection. Friday 4th What I learnt today................

Here is mine what I learnt today....... you have to remember that living on the Isle of Man means that for 4 weeks a year the main road around the Island is closed periodically for motorbike road racing and because we live inside the track we have to use the access road to get to the rest of the island. I have a tendency to stay at home and only go out if i really have too.......... We needed to go to the shops so a 15 minute journey took us an hour and 15. Thanks goodness that was the last race day for 2009. History was made also the first race was won by a woman. First time in the history of the Manx Grand Prix and TT races . Thurs 3rd Sept, What I learnt........

This is my page of What I learnt on the 3rd. I will explain I was on the phone with my mum who lives in a small village just outside Huddersfield West Yorks (I live on the Isle of Man). When she said her cat was smelling at something on the rug, got up and rushed back and said she had a bat on her room rug, (it was in her hand by now, because she put it to the phone and I could hear it clicking) I said to find a box to put it in and I would search the net for a contact number. By the time we spoke again I had rung bat rescue and a lovely lady explained about keeping the bat until dusk then having to put it in the box about 5 - 6 feet in the air let it crawl to the edge and hopefully the air will get under its wings and then it should hopefully fly way. I did ask if it plummeted to the ground what should she do, she said to put it back in the box and ring in the morning after 9. I passed on all the info when we spoke, Mum was a little apprehensive because the weather was so poor but when she rang later she said that the other bats were flying about so she had done as instructed and the bat had gone. She had got soaked through though!!!!!

So this is how I helped save a bat while living on the Isle of Man!!!!!!

Sept 2nd, Learn something new .........

September 2nd. I learnt that when someone rushes in front of you at the sorting office (main post office)that they don't always manage to do what they need to. The counter was closed so the man couldn't put his parcel through. I had a stamp on my important birthday cards and need to check if it was enough the postman could check for me and when I needed an extra stamp I had one in my purse. That's when being organised does help. I also bought my youngest a new blazer and it fits him perfect . Thanks for visiting please leave a comment Tx

This is my card for this weeks challenge, I have used one of my new Christmas stamps Overdressed Duck coloured with Pro Markers .I have used my nestabilities to cut the back ground mounts and placed it on 3d foam. This is my youngest sons last sports day at Junior school. Next year he starts high school.

I have used the new kit from Modscraps the colours are just perfect.

I have cut loads of different circles using woodware and stampin up punches, edged them with ink and arranged them under the photo. I have used doodlebug letters and then used the stampin up journaling pen to give it all "bounce". Thanks for looking

Owl Deep is Our Love

No kit for this one, I have used a PP paper from 3 bugs in a rug and a piece of bazill, I also used sizzix dies to cut the alphabet and leaves and added bling. For the flowers I used an assortment of Stampin Up punches for the flowers and used the water soluble crayons to add the depth to the leaves.

Well I haven't been on my blog for a while and I certainly haven't do any layouts for ages . So I treat myself to the March kit from Crafty Stash I have been friends with Sue for along while and kept saying when I had finished my Diploma I would get some of her kits. Oh to be nearer her crops sound wonderful and I hope all the lovely ladies who attend realise just how luck they are.

Great Images from Sketching Stamper Digi-Stamps

Here are two cards I have made using Chris's Digi Images they are great no longer do you have to stamp time after time until you get the right image. They are so easy to use , I have printed mine on to card to use with my promarkers. I was so pleased that my ink didn't bleed with the pens. I have put vellum over the card because i wanted a more muted tone but have stamped little flowers with Stampin Up inks on both cards in co-ordinate inks. I have used paper from my stash and have covered the edges and back of the paper with ink to blend in . The ribbons are Stampin up.

Here is a card that I have been asked to make for a friend's God Daughter. I have used stampin up flower stamp on the main body of the card but this is covered with vellum so i could trace the wishes. I have decoupaged the image of Peppa Pig and George and added googlie eyes. The Sun is a button and I have added flowers to the grass with sparkles. The clouds are covered with sparkles too. it looks really great in real life I hope shes pleased with it.Tx thanks for looking

Ink & Rubber Challenge 1

This is my card for the First challenge on the new Stampin' Up Challenge blog http://inkandrubber.blogspot.com/. You have to make an A6 card using any of your Stampin' Up stamps. I have used stamps from the Unfrogettable set (possibly still available from the recent retired list - check with your demonstrator or me) coloured with my promarkers , mounted on 3D tape, the dragonfly is stamped with markers and waterbrushed to give a softer effect, frogot (lol) to mention the bling on the crown!!!!!. thanks for looking, please leave a comment if you get chance Tx

A Spoon full of sugar- Challenge 22

This is my Halloween card for the spoon full of sugar challenge, I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp coloured with tombow & impress markers and water brush highlighted with sakura pens, The pumpkin is a Stampin' Up stamp coloured with markers with face added. The background is a cuttlebug embossing folder on the black magic paper sanded. The ghosts are ribbon from a Ben madigan kit and the boo from a cuttlebug die . This is my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge, I have used paper from my stash the image is Penny Black coloured with Pro Markers. Sat on nestabilities an oval on top of a scalloped oval. The white card is embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder that I have threaded ribbon trough from Angel crafts monthly kit. This is my card for 'Pretty in Pink' challenge from Cute Card Thursday. I have used Amelia designed by Christine Dark for Kadoodle, coloured with Pro markers. She is mounted on Paper Mill shop card, the patterned paper is papermaina I have gone over the swirls with white and glitter Sakura pens and added tiny flowers with white brads. Welcome Friends, for the Tilda & Friends ATC challenge

This is my ATC for 'Welcome Friends'. I have decided to use a Maggie stamp from Sugar Nellie's. Coloured with Pro markers. I have tried to create her stood in front of curtains before going to bed with her teddy (Friend, wasn't sure if that had to be the theme!!!!). She is stood in front of a window but of course you cant see that, the curtain top is created with some of the new Anna Griffin patterned paper border and the hem is cut with curved scissors. This is my card for this weeks Cute card Thursday 'In the Water', Its another of my Christmas stamps from Little Claire's, (I love elephants, Sooooo Cute.) I have used my Promarkers to colour and highlighted with Sakura clear glaze, white and the clear shimmer. I have Cut the white card out with nestabilities then cut the next size up on silver card. I have then used papermania paper and vellum all edged with blue ink. I have used flowers from Sarah's card Ltd, then a brad from my stash. The greetings are HOTP. My Mums in hospital at the moment, recovering from a major op. So here is the card I am going to send her. Hopefully she should be home on Monday but has at least 12 weeks off work. Oh to live nearer!!!!!!. Here are my enteries for this weeks sketch challenge, I have decided to make an ATC and a card. For the atc I have used DCWV paper and a Penny black image coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Sakura pens. The wording are Dawn Bibby peel offs, I have used card , ribbon and bling from my stash. Here is my Tag for this weeks challenge. I have used the hedgehog on the sledge stampcoloured with promarkers highlighted with Sakura pen.The stamp is on 3 D tape. I have used hammer embossed white card , added torn layers inked. I have stamped fir trees down the tag and used chalk above the tree layer to create the sky,adding little birds. This is my card for this weeks Tilda & co Challenge blog 'Cold as Ice'. The main colours had to be blue and white. I have coloured edwin using Pro-markers and sakura pens. I have used dovecraft paper, embossed vellum and the zigzags are cut using a new sizzix cutter. I have cut the paper using a wavy edge balde and used the promarker cyan pen to edge them all. I am back from my holidays and its nice to start making cards again. I have combined two challenges hope you dont mind but i didnt want to miss out on a full week. I have used Friday sketchers by Mumur (which is great and I will use again) and used a Penny black image and included the ribbon as requested in the Penny Black challenge 10. I have coloured the image with Pro-markers, love the effect just need to practise more. I have used a DCWV paper from the spring collection and the striped is from Papercraft 4 You, I have cut them with my wavy blade on my trimmer and used Cyan ink to edge everything. This is my card for this weeks Cute card Thursday challenge, I have used a new stamp from CuddlyBuddly it is called Peace on Earth, I love cats so I fell in love with the stamp. I have coloured it using my new pro-markers recommended by Caz they are great to use, just waiting to get some more colours. I have decoupaged the mouse and the pudding using 3D foam. The paper ,card and ribbon all came from a kit I got from Mandy of Modscrap before she gave up with the kits. The wishes are from, HOTP. everything is edged with gold ink. This is my card that I have decide to make that fits into both challenges. I have used Katharina's challenge sketch and used recycled paper from my stash bit box. I have used my new Sarah Kay stamp and coloured with Derwent inktense pencils. I have used the colours quite muted to match the Crate Paper. The image in stamped in sepia versamark ink on cream card. This is my card for The Cutie Sunday sketch challenge 4. I have used one of my new Elzybells stamps. I have coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils and sakura glaze. PP paper from my stash (cant remember whos make) Alphabet stamps from stamps away. This is my Tilda & co challenge 30 card, I have used the skating Tilda coloured with Derwent inktense pencils and highlighted with Sakura pens, I have mounted on 3D tape of different thicknesses(which gives her a moving feeling) . The pp is from last years Papermania range. I have used my nestabilities to cut out a silver rectangle and the pp are mounted on silver. The christmas trees are from a sheet in the same range and I have added Icicle stickles to the baubles. Brads are papermania. Wishes from the Dawn Bibby christmas range. This is my card for the Sketch Saturday 10th Challenge, I did start by stamping flowers and colouring them and when I found the papers they just didnt look right, so I decided to cut flowers from the same range of paper which is Urban by K & Co and 3D layer, each layer of them.I cut the border and inked the top of the paper to blend in with the papermill shop squares.
